Used Peugeot RCZ Cars for Sale

The RCZ is a distinctive car from French manufacturer Peugeot – a daring move to break into the coupé class, straying away from hatchbacks and city cars that are synonymous with the brand.

First launched in 2009, the RCZ is a respected model within its class, even going on to gain racing pedigree status after successfully competing in endurance races at the likes of the Nürburgring.

We are constantly updating our used Peugeot RCZ car ranges on our website or you can view all our available models at our car supermarkets in ManchesterSheffieldWakefield or Warrington

Key Facts

Prices start at just over the £10,000 mark, making it cheaper than the likes of the Audi TT, while around £15,000 will get you an RCZ with extra trim and luxuries inside.

It’s no slouch under the bonnet either, putting out at least over 150 bhp across the entire range, while the GT Line model reaches the holy grail of 200 bhp. The popular diesel options are economic as well as powerful, too, giving you the best of both worlds.

Why buy a Peugeot Rcz?

Owning an RCZ gives you all the style and prestige of owning a coupé, without spending near £20,000 as can be the case. It’s a head-turner, too, so while you’re inside and enjoying the interior, it’s a car that’s going to ask people to double-take.

Although the rear seats are a little on the small side – as are the Audi TT’s and many of its peers – there’s still room for the kids, while the large boot ensures it scores points for practicality as well as style.

A touch more speed: Peugeot RCZ GT

A touch more speed: Peugeot RCZ GT

Any model branded with the name ‘GT’ ensures that it’s a little sportier than average. The RCZ GT certainly reflects this in its looks, boasting larger alloy wheels and an active rear spoiler.

However, the real draw factor of this model can be found within – it’s a luxurious place to be, making it ideal for long journeys. Leather trim adorns the seats, the steering wheel, and even the gear knob; while the front seats are heated too – perfect for winter.

What are the Alternatives?

Sensible style: Volkswagen Scirocco

Sensible style: Volkswagen Scirocco

VW’s stylish hatchback is priced similarly to the RCZ, despite the two cars being in different classes. And while the Peugeot gives you the sports car look, the Scirocco is more practical, while both score highly in terms of style.

VW’s hatchback has more space in the back and an even bigger boot than the RCZ, while any model fitted with one of Volkswagen’s BlueMotion Technology engines will achieve upwards of 60 mpg when coupled with a smooth driving style.

Coupé / hatchback crossover: Vauxhall Astra GTC

Coupé / hatchback crossover: Vauxhall Astra GTC

Vauxhall’s GTC version of the Astra is something of a coupé and hatch mix, giving you the best of both worlds. The 1.6-litre petrol engine puts out almost 200 bhp, while the 1.6-litre diesel engine allows you to achieve economic levels of fuel consumption similar to that of the Scirocco.

Prices begin at a lower point than the RCZ, typically saving you between £2,000 and £3,000 on the used market, so the Astra GTC is a better value-for-money option.

For style and prestige: Audi A3

For style and prestige: Audi A3

The A3 is one of the most popular hatches on the market, and for good reason too. While the Audi badge may serve as the initial draw, you may well find yourself ushered in with a fine build quality and finish, handsome looks, and a range of engines that can rival any other car in class.

A3s can be expensive however, beginning at a smidge under £10,000 and venturing almost up to £20,000 for the finest models the market has to offer. However, if you’re dead set on a coupé like the RCZ, you could potentially pick up an Audi TT for less than an A3, though you’re likely to pay more in road tax and insurance.
